TCF for the general publicThe TCF is a multiple-choice test with 80 items that cover reading comprehension, command of grammatical structures and listening comprehension (duration: 1h30). It also includes optional tests for written (1h45) and oral expressions (15 minutes). The TCF has three compulsory tests and two optional ones :
TCF DAPTest pour la demande d’admission préalable / preliminary admission application If you wish to apply, in France, as a first year undergraduate (L1) or as an architecture school student and you do not have the DELF B2 or DALF, you must apply for a TCF specific to the preliminary admission application, called “TCF for DAP”. TCF CanadaTCF Canada was specifically created in response to the standards of the IRCC (Immigration, réfugiés et citoyenneté Canada). The TCF Canada is comprised of four mandatory tests:
TCF for QuébecCandidates who wish to emigrate and work in Québec can choose to present a TCF. Your TCF for Québec certificate is only valid for your emigration application. You cannot use it for example for admission to a French university or for other purposes. This test can only be taken by people who submit an immigration application at a Quebec immigration office or at Délégations Générales du Québec, Quebec government offices abroad. TCF ANFTest de Connaissance du Français pour l’accès à la nationalité française As of January 1, 2012, persons wishing to acquire French nationality must attest to their level of spoken French, as ordered by France’s decree of October 11, 2011. TCF ANF can be used to meet this requirement. Your certificate of “TCF pour l’accès à la nationalité française” is only valid to complete a request for French nationality acquisition. You cannot use it for admission to a French university or to complete your request for emigration to Québec. The TCF for Québec and TCF ANF are composed of 2 compulsory tests. How much does it cost ?
Prices are subject to change according to the value of the Euro at the time of the exam. You may pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) in person or over the phone, or by check to AFD/FIM. Payments must be made in full at the time of registration. No refund or credit will be made under any circumstances once the registration is processed, unless the Alliance Française must cancel a session of tests (in which case you will be fully refunded).
