TCF for Quebec/ANF

TCF for Québec

Candidates who wish to emigrate and work in Québec can choose to present a TCF.

Your TCF for Québec certificate is only valid for your emigration application. You cannot use it for example for admission to a French university or for other purposes.

This test can only be taken by people who submit an immigration application at a Quebec immigration office or at Délégations Générales du Québec, Quebec government offices abroad.

Test de Connaissance du Français pour l’accès à la nationalité française

As of January 1, 2012, persons wishing to acquire French nationality must attest to their level of spoken French, as ordered by France’s decree of October 11, 2011. TCF ANF can be used to meet this requirement.

Your certificate of “TCF pour l’accès à la nationalité française” is only valid to complete a request for French nationality acquisition. You cannot use it for admission to a French university or to complete your request for emigration to Québec.

The TCF for Québec and TCF ANF are composed of 2 compulsory tests. You must take both to complete your test:
• Listening comprehension (30 questions – 30 minutes)
• Oral expression (6 questions – 15 minutes with an evaluator).
