About this event:
Created by French Institute of Michigan
at Second Avenue and Canfield - Midtown Detroit
La Marche du Nain Rouge has become an annual Detroit Midtown tradition for all ages. Legend has le Nain that appears in the city before a major catastrophe. So each Spring, this event draws thousands of Detroiters onto the streets to drive out le Nain Rouge for the coming year ! Be sure to wear a disguise (at least a mask or hat) so le Nain does not recognize you ! This year the AFD/FIM will be part of the festivities with a period horse and carriage! The party starts about noon at Second and Canfield before the parade steps off at 1 pm and finishes at the Masonic Temple with a live band in the basement.
